Taking frequent walks in Upstate New York during the chill of late Fall and Winter, I discovered an abundance of nature. I photographed the fallen leaves, lichen, fungi, trees and streams as close-ups so their environmental context began to dissolve. Some became abstractions. I transformed the images further with a warm, filtered lighted to enhance the beauty I found.
